Unhooking the changer is an idea.

Sounds like the current speakers won't, if the guy is wanting to pound the bass.

I yanked out the wiring for the amp in our 97 Jetta, after the guy pulled the amp from the car before selling it to us; heh, the aftermarket radio didn't work. I installed a cheap Audiovox 25 W single CD/radio that had an aux port, using an aftermarket harness kit. This guy just might want to change his speakers and put in an aftermarket radio.
