The Wonderlic tests general cognitive ability. That includes problem solving and critical thinking skills. Cognitive ability can be broken into verbal, quantitative, reasoning, spatial, and perceptual abilities.
If you don't think all of those (verbal, spatial, and perceptive in particular) have importance in football then you're wrong.
