Now, had they not ****ed up in 2009 and filled these holes and THEN traded up for Jones?
****ing deadly.
Every year we have the same holes, and every year they get ignored.
Every year we say, "don't worry, we can get X in a late round."
I don't know why we're having this argument anyway, Pioli doesn't have the balls to make this kind of deal.

No single guy is going to put this team over the top, however getting a complete stud instead of a couple of mediocre fillers would go a long way to helping get us to the next level.
And I'm in complete agreement with you. Everyone wants to pick someone later in the draft because we can always get that position later in the draft. However, it's a crap shoot getting a guy that will actually make the team, let alone produce at even a mediocre level "later in the draft."
Is marching out a rotating cast of late rounders and UDFA's and 34 year old has beens at the wide out position going to get us anywhere? **** no. Bowe is double teamed all game long and Moeaki has to stay around to block.
Make the trade up, get the stud and it's going to pay a lot more dividends that dicking around with marginal talent and late round tomato cans. So we lose some mid round picks in the process...BFD. They aren't likely to make an impact anyway. Shit, everyone around here thinks that we can rebuild the offensive line and linebackers and running backs with undrafted free agents anyway. Why even have fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh round picks to waste on stiffs?
Grab you nuts Scotty and make the move for a stud.
