Most of you wanted nothing to do with Moeaki last year, even though you had likely never seen the kid play to gauge how good he actually was and wouldn't listen to reason as to why he would be a great fit for our offense.

I compared him to Tony G many times and people acted like I deserved to be laughed out of town for it. I said that he would have been a first round talent if it weren't for the injuries and that all of his injuries were of the broken bone variety and wouldn't cause future concern...nobody wanted to listen to reason...now they see it with their own eyes every week.

Who's laughing now?

I say that a lot of the things Stanzi needs to improve on, can in fact be coached by a guy like Zorn and that in a couple years he will be a guy that ends up being one of the biggest steals of this draft class, but what do I know?
People have already mentioned this, but let's just see if the dude can stay healthy. I was pleasantly surprised that he lasted the entire season without missing any games, but let's see how he does next year and the year after that.

I know injuries happen to everybody in the NFL, but it just so happens that Moeaki's health will be scrutinized until he removes all doubt that he can stay healthy, and that his rookie year wasn't just a fluke.

I thought it was a shitty pick because for the price of a 5th and a 4th, Moeaki better be one ****ing special TE. He might be, so that's a relief. But it doesn't change the fact that there was way more risk involved with picking him than there should be.

Those are my reasons. It's not because I hate Iowa. In fact, I happen to think Stanzi can be a very good QB someday.
