Logically then, wouldn't eradicating the word of god be the compassionate thing to do? If the goal is to avoid hell, and people who don't hear the word are not condemned, wouldn't making sure no one hears it guarantee that no one is sent to hell? The people who did it would surely go to hell, but their sacrifice would keep future generations in the safety of blissful ignorance for the rest of history.
