Since I am a dork with ocd, I wiki'd the stuff and got shit straight. The main battle in the Greyjoy Rebellion took place at Pyke in the Iron Islands, so Robert actually attacked the Greyjoys, not vice versa (although the Greyjoys did destroy the Lannister fleet earlier). By defeating the Greyjoys, there were forced to show fealty to Robert.
Davos's story began at Storms End when he was able to smuggle onions into the city during Mace Tyrell's siege, when Stannis was at Storm's End.
