I know of places around here that have a 400 to 600% mark-up.Mine are not even close to that because I'm trying to build a business on trust and I can't do that by ripping people off. It's the main reason I go to a show every year and use a Pyro Joe grading scale of 1-5 and if I don't give the firework a 3,4,or 5 I do not buy it no matter how cheap it is.I want my customers to know that I'm only going to cherry pick what I feel are great buys for the money thus resulting in a great show and the main reason my slogan is More Show-Less Dough.
A quick example,I was fortunate enough to get to put together a show for a community in Grove,Oklahoma and they sent a sheet showing what they'd gotten last year from a guy down there and supposedly he had given them 50% off.Anyhow he was showing his Coconut Grove Song at $37.50 reg price and made them think they were getting a great bargain at 1/2 that when my everyday price on the same firework is $18.99
