People say he's a contract player. In 2010, he was a contract player too. He was franchise tagged, so while he was earning the big bucks, he was still in the last year of his "contract."
And people forget that in 2010, he had an extended holdout. I'm sure for a fat Nose Tackle, nothing is worse than starting your season completely unconditioned. Between that and playing for an uninspiring coach like Singletary, I think there's plenty of reason to believe that he could play well in 2011 under Romeo, given better conditioning (assuming practice is allowed to continue soon).

If the guy is unmotivated and given to being in shitty shape, there's no way I would want him with a truncated offseason. He probably would need to be cut out of his house and brought to camp on a flatbed truck.
