And with the worst third down percentage in the NFL last year, I'm sure BB will do what it takes to make Haynesworth effective. As Mike Reiss said, BB is one of the best of fitting schemes to players, and not forcing players into schemes that don't work well for them.
He's not going to revamp the defense for Hayensworth, but the bottom line is he doesn't have to. 43 and sub packages are already a very signfiicant part of the Pats defense.

I think AH was more ticked about running the nose tackle position in a straight 3-4, which will rarely crop up. He won't be asked to be Vince Wilfork, unless Wilfork is injured or sucking oxygen. AH will sub in 3rd down as a pass-rushing DT, DE, or even OLB (but, as pointed out, the Pats mix and match so often that I'm not sure you'll ever even be able to point it out and say, "Look, AH is playing straight OLB on the strong side in a straight 3-4"). They'll use 3-4, 4-3, and put him basically anywhere Belichick thinks gives AH the greatest opportunity to hit the QB ASAP.
As some of the Boston radio people pointed out, the Pats have taken "bad guys" like Corey Dillon and gotten something out of them, and it's very low-risk. And, conversely, the Pats have recently given out decent money to supposed "high quality" guys who've turned out to suck (Adalius Thomas, Derrick Burgess). I won't be outright hypocritical. I don't like bad guys. I'd prefer he wasn't on the team. But I'll hope for the best out of him on the field AND off the field, and I won't be burning my Patriots jersey in protest.
