I certainly can't answer that with any authority, but I do have a theory. Texas pretty much runs the Big XII. That much is known for certain. If the Big XII were to sue aTm, that would amount to one entity of the state of Texas suing another entity of the state of Texas. It seems unlikely to me that UT would get behind that lawsuit.
