The Cards got Wong signed almost immediately and he's been pretty much terrorizing low A since he got there; it'll be great for him next season, IMO.
It's huge to get those first couple of months as a professional ballplayer out of the way. They learn how to treat the game as their job and it gives them a major boost going into the following season.
It would've been awfully nice for the Royals to have gotten that under Starling's belt going into 2012. He could've been ready for High A or even a September bump to AA by as early as next season if he'd have performed well at low A this year.

I guess I was counting the last half of this season as a seaon of development.
