I think Lewis is a nice player for a 5th round pick.

But Brandon Merriwether was/is one of the better safeties in the league. He'd have been a fantastic pickup. He would also have allowed Berry to slide over to FS, where he could better utilize his athleticism and skills as a ball-hawk (though we don't really run conventional FS/SS pairings anyway - ours are kinda interchangeable).

But hey, just remember that Scott Pioli is smarter than anyone else in the room and don't need no stinkin' players to win.
