Developmental players over broke dicks. That's precisely Pioli's strategy. Exactly it.

Why, when he brought in Mike Vrabel, Mike Brown, Bobby Engram, Zach Thomas, Mark Simoneau, Mike Goff, and Thomas Jones to an extent, he was just looking to develop those guys in the later years of their career. He would never bring them in with the sole purpose of providing leadership and temporary band-aids to a team with struggles at depth at nearly every position. That's not how he works! You know Pioli... ALWAYS looking for developmental players over broke dick veterans. Rarely does he ever bring in broke dicks when the team needs a baseline of mediocrity just to fight and claw their way to 6 or 7 wins
