How does it help Denver? Unless Orton's "I will only play for the Bears" schtick works, SOMEONE will put a claim in for him regardless. Denver's going to get their $2.6M back.
So Denver is unaffected by the Chiefs claim. The only team hurt by it is Chicago, who happens to still be on our schedule this year.
