st round: WR Johnny Baldwin- A. People forget that the trade down was a part of this as well. This pick was the lone bright spot of Pioli's GM tenure in KC.
nd round: OG/C Rodney Hudson- A. Dude appears to be rocking it, even if it's still at guard and not center. I have no problems with just taking good players especially if we need them at certain positions.
rd round: OLB Justin Houston- B+. Great value when he was taken. I think we all knew he'd take some time getting used to the pro game
rd round: DE Allen Bailey- B+. Country Strong had a great game against Pittsburgh. It looks like he can be the future for us on the defensive line if we don't re-sign Dorsey. I almost kinda sorta hope we don't now. Bailey is growing into his role
th round: CB Jalil Brown- D. I was lukewarm about Brown on draft day, and now I'm thinking this was a terrible pick. We already had enough try-hard-do-it-on-special-teams defensive backs on the team and didn't need another one. He has a low ceiling and will probably never be more than a 3rd corner for us.
th round: QB Ricky Stanzi- A. I loved this pick now and I still do. Too bad Haley hated it.
th round: OLB Gabe Miller- C-. I should give this one an incomplete. It was a wtf pick when it happened, but he was doing alright in training camp before he got injured. No clue what will happen to him. From what I hear, we were using him on the inside, which is a place where he could excel for us.
th round: NT Jerrell Powe- C-. In the same boat as Stanzi. He's apparently got a future with this team, but the coaching staff treats him like chopped liver. If/when Gregg finally dies with his dinosaur friends, we're going to be stuck with an unknown. Not ready to hand the keys over to someone like that, we'll draft a NT and Powe will struggle to get playing time of any sort for the rest of his short career. Unfortunate to see that kind of potential go to waste
th round: FB Shane Bannon- F-. ****ing stupid pick.
