I don't think anyone's trying to make it cut and dry, rather just assembling the wall a brick at a time.

I think it's undeniably a brick. It just seems very strange that Leach wasn't more interested in a job with an AD he had a past history with, in a conference he knew a bunch of people in, with a chance to stick it in the eye of a school he clearly thinks wronged him. Especially when the Wazzu job isn't a great one by any stretch.

I think it's more than any one thing, but I think Mangino's relationship with Leach and the circumstances surrounding his departure are certainly among those issues.
