Class action law suits are typically a legal shake down by a law firm. Nobody but the attorney's benefit, well that and the original plaintiff they get to start the suit.
Still most all are on the attorney's digging for money.
Most are settled out of court because if you are found on slightly responsible as a defendant you have to pay all the attorney fees for defense and claimant which usually are in the 7 figure range. Not worth the risk.
Meanwhile you get $1.50 while the attorney's rack up millions.
