Media as in Taint and Keegan? Those two guys are trying to feed articles to sway what KU does... Seriously, Keegan's wrote 3 articles in a row titled:
"Sheahon Zenger has guts to hire Mike Leach"
"Timing right for Mike Leach"
"Hal Mumme coaching tree fruitful ... and includes Mike Leach"
As a KU fan it's sickening. The LJW is horrible and has had a putrid (at best) relationship with KU Football for a decade.
I can say for certain that these "sources" are nothing but speculation and people on the outside looking in trying desperately to just print something because it's their job. Even the folks in the Athletic Department don't know what's going on, currently.

Sure let's go ahead and lump everyone into a category because a few overzealous internet heads are doing the same thing Keegan did. They want someone to come in that has won at this level before, it's the "safest" thing. I don't want the safest thing, I want the Right thing. If it's Fedora.. if it's Christensen, if it's Doreen, that's great... I think Zenger understands this is going to be the hire that defines the rest of his career, and is making darned sure he does the best he can.
