I think Pants is right in that it happens when someone (a teammate most likely) kills you and revives you a couple of times quickly. Your team status disappears (no icon above your head and no name) and you become essentially invincible. Like Pants, it happened to me by accident last night and it felt like cheating, fortunately I was killed with explosives pretty quickly. Explosives or running someone over with a vehicle is the only way to eliminate them. I ran over a guy on my team the other night and later blew him up....by accident of course
. He was doing it in nearly every match. Funny though, they were complaining about people boosting. Boosting is bad enough if your desperate enough to rank up...whatever, but purposely going invincible is pathetic and cheating.
