The only thing that makes me "unhappy" about the DOTY polls is that I have to admit to myself that they are entertaining. Its like when I read the tabloids headlines about Jersey Shore or Kim Kardashian while standing in the checkout line. I try to be subtle about it in hopes that nobody sees a guy in his early thirties in a suit checking out the gossip rags.
The fact that a middle-aged divorcee actually spends weeks conducting these contests just makes me realize that there are probably grown men somewhere who actually have Snookie watch parties. I just don't typically watch it happen right in front of me so the reality check is sobering.
