Smith is absolutely a franchise QB if you just look at THIS YEAR. He led his team to a 13-3 record and is going to the NFC championship game. He makes amazing throws when it mattered most and stepped up in the clutch.

At this point, it's looking more and more that it was coaching and not talent that held him back.
