I think alot of owners and GM like "safe" choices like Fisher because you know exactly what you are getting. 8-11 wins a year, win a playoff game or 2 in 5 years......keeps the butts in seats. This is why guys like Wade Phillips keep getting looks at HC. In their minds better to play it safe than a potential trainwreck.
