Better still, if he really really wants a kid and that kid isn't likely to respond to being a haughty d-bag, he can turn on the charm and appear to be 180 degrees from his reputation, thus making him an even stronger draw to that kid.

Granted, I still think this experiment will fail miserably for a handful of reasons I've already mentioned. But that isn't necessarily because Weis's somewhat prickly personality makes him doomed to failure.
Frank Martin isn't a dick at all. He's actually a pretty good dude.
