Kinda interesting.
Most of the people I've seen leaving so far have been pvpers. And I would say that's understandable.

The impression I get is that there's an unhappy vocal minority but there remain a lot of people enjoying the game. But that's just from reading (between the lines) at various places around the web.

And it's just a conspiracy theory of mine, but I'm not sure there isn't a concerted effort by another company (or other companies) to talk down the game in a variety of places where people get together to discuss it, including the game's own forums. That's not to say that the game doesn't have problems of course, but some of the reactions are just unbelievable, particularly on the official boards (and this is something that's been going on for years, not a new suspicion...).

'course, this isn't the first BioWare game where I've thought that might be the case. They have always had an extremely aggressive atmosphere on their forums, even going as far back as the baldur's gate games, but in recent years, starting around ME1, it's just gotten gradually worse and worse. Maybe it's just a wider audience, but you go on their forums for basically any game and you'd think they were the worst company ever making the worst games ever while they steal and eat babies as the world burns around them.

And yes, I know that sounds crazy, but in today's online world, I think attacking games in that way is a logical step, and I'd be surprised if companies (including EA) hadn't been doing it for years, to try and feed on the mob-mentality and swerve public opinion as much as they can.

Not everybody is going to like the same games, but the kind of angst-ridden reactions I've seen this week is kind of mind-boggling. It's like people (who generally all say they're MMO vets) have never experienced a patch before.
