Missouri's mens team was in the NCAA tournament each of those years, including a Regional Final appearance in 2002.

Are these the NIT banners KU fans are always blathering about? Cindy Stein insisted these be hung, because they had nothing up there for the women's team. Makes sense. Just another misconception, like when I see KU fans saying the seats at midcourt/behind the benches are empty because those fans don't care (when they're really empty because the people in them have suite access).
