Edit to add, appreciate the no judgements. Don't mean any myself. Being a step-dad is the hardest thing i've ever had to do, but it's just as rewarding as being in the birthing room from Day1 too. There's only 1 way I know how to be a good parent, and that's 100%.
No difference between parents and step parents. Mom's boyfriend-of-the-month doesn't belong to the club.
