Why are you disassembling the thing that far down? The glory of the AK is that you just have to field strip it, rod the barrel, wipe down the major components, at a touch of oil and reassemble until next time. You might also find that because of the piston OS there is a lot less cleaning involved.

Well, the first thing I did was replace the two piece foregrip with the Galil. I had to break it down substantially to do that. I have no plans to ever do it again.
But the dust cover sucks. My buddy has a Dremel - I may grind down the front a touch so it fits better.
