As far as the weighted ab work, he may well not even do that much. The guy is sitting at a ridiculous low bodyfat, like 5-6% in that picture. Core strength is invaluable for football anyway.
He obviously is on HGH and some other goodies, but that is what a guy should be doing.

His shoulder are small compared to his arms.
Low bodyfat has nothing to do with the thick mid-section. That is all because of weighted ab work. It is overdone. Core strenght is good but overdone and it makes you look thick.
And he is not obviously on HGH or other goodies. Dedication and good eating can do this.
He could also use more work on his lats.
