Besides, what are the odds that Martin actually finishes the last two books in less than 5 years? Or that he doesn't end up having to write a third? If season two is in 2012, and they do a season annually we're talking about season 5 in 2015, meaning he'd have to finish the sixth book in time to broadcast season 6 in 2016 and then the seventh in time to do season 6 in 2017. And that's broadcast. They'll have to go into production in the year prior. Meaning 2015 for season 6 and 2016 for season 7. That's three and four years from now, respectively.
Does anybody really think Martin's going to have the entire series finished in four year?
