Agreed. Plus currents, and or natural barriers such as reefs or trenches would really be the end of that sceneraio.
To be honest, one of the safest places I can think of is on a large house boat in the middle of a very deep lake. You would have saftey from walkers, lots of fresh water, fresh fish, and you could grow your own veggies in little gardens.
If you had a desalinizer, then sub lake for ocean and be 1000x times safer. Only the weather would be a real conern at that point.
