You can't say, "Well, they unfairly stereotyped this kid. That's typical of those kind of people." You don't see the hypocrisy in that? One guy shot the kid, no one else.
If someone started a thread about some black teenagers beating up some white guy, and someone posted, "typical" that would be considered a prejudiced statement. I'm just wondering why saying, "typical" here isn't.
I know what you are saying but it is not the one guys stereotype. It is a nations stereotype of black people that made him even believe it. what ever stereotypes there are about any race, if you have close friends of that race then you know they are BS. Oh except the one where all black men have big Johnsons, I would like to keep that one out there thats beneficial.....LOL. Race needs to be talk about on a national level because people need to know what is BS and what id not.
