Still early, not enough yet to really draw any conclusions, but we apparently have a 30-year old lefty sidearm pitcher (Tommy Hottovy) who almost no one outside of Boston heard of before raising some eyebrows. (drafted in the 4th round, was climbing up the Red Sox ladder as a pitching prospect, got hurt, after surgery he struggled, just as he was about to fall out of baseball he just completely reinvented himself as a sidearm pitcher, and got enough results last year to fly up and out of AA. We then signed him as a minor league free agent)
He's a longshot to make the bullpen out of spring training because we already have lots of lefty relievers, but he's probably nailed down a spot in Omaha.
