In any event, I was disappointed at first, as I thought Mizzou's best chance would be through St. Louis. However, I like the region Mizzou is in, and I think if they play their best basketball, they can make a serious final four run.

I don't know. They're #8 overall, but they get to be in the worst #1's regional, avoid UK, and have a virtual bye in Norfolk. Seems pretty fortunate to me.
KU was #5 overall, so Midwest makes sense for them.
