I've gone through my facebook friends list before and there are many of them who I straight up forgot about since college. Some of them have added me and I accept their request just to be nice (after looking at our mutual friends) and I spend a few minutes pondering about where I forgot them at. You are right though... many of the people I am "friends" with on there, I have either forgotten completely about or they are more familiar with me than I am with them.
