You read my mind. Earlier today I was reading the police chief's statement concerning his decision to remove himself from this case. Part of what he said was something like (paraphrase) I'm a veteran homicide detective, a father and a police chief. I am all to familiar with the horrors of these situations and my sympathies are with the child's parents however based upon our fact finding there is no cause to arrest the shooter.
The problem is people are trying to make it about race, first to get them wound up they said the shooter was white only later to find out he is Hispanic.
The stage this fire is at right now, the Hispanic dude is guilty no matter what this kid did or had on him.
I feel sorry for the kid's family but I was not there, I tend to side with the law and know if this was not justified, they would be loving sitting in front of the local news crews telling them how they apprehended this suspect...
