I think it is a pretty big assumption to assume Zimmerman initiated the physical contact.....and I think it is the most critical factor in the entire case. Just as you seem to.
(Im going to substitute 'initiate physical contact' for 'chased down' but I think we are pretty much on the same page)
isn't it a pretty big assumption that it's ok to kill someone who punched you in the nose because he threw the first punch?
or to put it another way it's a pretty big assumption that a "reasonable man" armed with a gun would be in fear of his life because he was punched in the nose, particularly when the other party was not armed in any way, unless you count skittles...
