Has that since been confirmed? The reason why I ask is because if it's not true, and they just made that up, then that is egregiously irresponsible. I want to write to that network and let them know I will never trust them again.
Even if he did say it it's not against the law to do so, it is not a HATE crime if you are the one who is physically attacked.
Had Zimmerman called him a ****ing coon and physically attacked him that could be a hate crime but him saying ****ing coon and getting attacked has nothing to do with this except to stoke the fire of the ones who only see this as a racial event.
Zimmerman could have screamed it at him and there is no law that says he can't do it unless he then assaulted Trayvon....
As racist as it would be to call someone a ****ing coon would be does not make it a crime to do so.
