There are a few basic things about Weberball.

1) The "motion offense" normally ends up being passing the ball around the perimeter for 30 seconds and someone jacking up a 3 as the shot clock buzzer sounds.

2) Don't expect any big men to be used effectively. We had a lottery pick at center last year in Meyers Leonard and Bubbles had him setting screens 30 feet from the basket 80% of the time.

3) Weberball never uses a zone defense, even if your entire team can't guard the dribble. And since a zone defense is never used, don't expect your team on offense to be able to effectively attack a zone.

Basically, no matter what, expect a lot of long jumpshots, regardless of whether or not you have good jumpshooters.

The one time that the Illini offense really hummed last year was when the players on the floor basically told Bubbles to f off and just did what they wanted against Mizzou. They started driving to the hoop and creating offense and as a result we closed a 20 point gap. However, in the last 5 minutes of the game, Weberball came back and the offense went back in the toilet.
