I could somewhat understand the thought behind having a Gordon "learn" LF in the minors because he was also struggling at the plate at the same time, so you don't want his offensive failings compounding the difficulty of making defensive adjustments.

The handling of Gio does not make sense. I get that the guy's D is not that good. I could handle demoting him to Omaha when he wasn't hitting (And it was reasonable to have some concerns about his hip). But he's hitting reasonably well in Omaha.
Just don't get it.
I thikn you're right re: Myers. A bump to AAA is coming soon, I think, but I'm fine with them letting him sustain this success for another month or so before moving him up.
Re: Colon... I'd feel a lot better about his numbers at AA if he had put them up LAST year. He needs to start stinging the ball more and get his OBP up a bit (his walk rate is down this year).
I'd be happy with his bat if he could maintain .280/.340/.420 as he advances levels. A .760 OPS is not superstar level, but it plays pretty well at 2B (and would be a considerable upgrade over the Royals' current options).
