We have been conditioned in the US to demonize women's bodies. Period. Go anywhere else in the world (not just Africa dumba**) and this is accepted as normal. Only here, do we call this unusual.
I'm sure you'd rather a woman go into the nearest disgusting public bathroom to FEED her baby.
Now, caveat, subtlety is nice for breast feeding moms to have. It's quite easy to drape a simple cloth cover over the baby while it nurses.
Frankly, I'd rather my baby have breast milk than formula that has all kinds of chemicals and preservatives in it (including aluminum).
