I agree. It is fully up to the mother when is the appropriate time to stop breast feeding. But, I also think taking into account the place you are at & those around you is important. Then again, I've never been a "**** everyone else, I'm doing it because I want to do it" type of a person.
If women want their 3+ year old breast feeding in public, fine. Just don't expect anyone around you to not have a WTF look on their face or excuse themselves from the room.
