
at some of the thoughts in this thread. I find it funny when everyone gets all up-in-arms about a situation, saying things like: "The pussification of America continues..", then turn around and "feel uncomfortable" when a mother pulls out a tit to breastfeed. It's all a culture thing. We're too 'civilized' to be bothered with the image of a mother feeding her hungry child. Regardless of the child's age, how does that play a factor at all? It's obvious that all kids are different, and all parents are different. If the mother and child are still cool with the process why should it be of any difference to you whether the child is 5 years or 18 months?
Breastfeeding in public doesn't bother me. I may notice a 5 year old breastfeeding in public and make note of how extraordinary it is; but then I'd go on about my life because it's none of my damn business in the first place.
