That's almost the worst possible thing that could've happened to the Royals. Maybe Moose or Hosmer having a wrist injury would be worse, but Duffy facing possible TJ surgery is just tragic from a baseball standpoint, let alone Royals standpoint.

I shed my tears during the game yesterday. It helps that he has already had trouble this year, and its pretty much certain he is facing TJ surgery, the “acceptance” phase came pretty quick.
Totally agree about the devastation that this one brings. Perez? Meh, he will be back and is still young. Cain? Meh, we have a few outfielders. Soria? Meh, we have a strong bullpen and he was getting “up there” as a closer anyway. But now this, on top of all that – and he is the ONE pitcher that was actually living up to expectations. Montgomery and Dwyer have fallen off a cliff, Lamb already got hurt, and guys like Hoch and Sanchez have swung to the “worst case scenario” end of the spectrum. Are we ever going to catch a break?
This is why I don’t want to see Myers come up this season. Assuming we get pitching figured out, it will likely be when Moose, Hoz, and Escobar are pretty close to signing big deals on the east coast, so lets set it up so we have at least a couple of bats left after 2017. By then we could have Myers and Bubba team with Gordon/Cain in the OF.
