Sorry, but it's true. It's like having a pinch hitter that rests the bat on his shoulder and takes every pitch. You're defending him because he's never swung at a bad pitch, while ignoring that he frequently strikes out anyway, and has never had a hit or driven in a run.
It's easy to use hindsight to say there's never been a guy we should have taken. But look at the guys that have been throwing passes for this team, and tell me we would be any worse off for having tried.
You go right ahead and fill your trophy case with the "at least we didn't draft Casey Clausen" awards. I'm setting my sights a little higher.
