Not true at all. Kansas City is definitely a sports town, a lot of very loyal fans(you'd have to be loyal given the lack of success over the years). There are also a TON of bandwagon type fans. If the Royals were to have any type of success EVER, this city would go ape shit for them. There are a lot of morons out there, but I can't think of anyone who would say they are cool with mediocre.
