Was discussing with a friend last night.
Evidently there are tons of visual images of mutilated half-faces scattered throughout all the seasons. Gus Fring at end of Season 4. The teddy bear face in season 2. Jesse's face when he gets beat to a pulp. There's supposedly an essay that tracks it all and explores the motif, but I can't find it online. Anyway, this show is just so badass.
