From a pure talent, qb skills angle, Cassel is probably the 3rd best qb on the team. Mentally he's better than the other two at this point.
The thing with Cassel is being a good soldier is really all he does well. He doesn't have a good throwing motion, has bad mechanics in his footwork, and doesn't read defenses well. He's not accurate either.
I get that he is the safe option, but safe options don't tend to win many playoff games or SB"s.
