In his post-game press conference, coach Andy Reid characterized Michael Vick's left thumb injury as a "contusion."
Reid insists his starting quarterback is "fine" and could grip a football by the end of the game. We already knew X-rays were negative; this is confirmation that Vick escaped serious damage to his tendons as well. He may be held out of practice or two as a precaution, but there shouldn't be any long-term effects
