The argument for Calipari seems to be that, "Oh yeah, well he was never proven to be a cheater." I think that's just a technicality and I think it's reasonable to assume that where there's smoke, there's fire. I mean, shit went down at UMass and he ran away so he couldn't be caught. Shit went down at Memphis and he ran away, so he couldn't be caught. Final Fours were stripped from Memphis and UMass from seasons when he was the coach. If you're going to hold coaches accountable for what goes on in their programs...
He's always able to spin away to a better situation too. The first time he took off for the NBA and the second time to UK. Is that luck, or is he just that good at slithering?
Now I don't think he's downright cheating at UK, why would he need to? But what he does is so unconventional and seems to skirt the written and unwritten rules to a point that it looks suspicious.
The thing that pisses me off about him is that he puts on airs like he's this holier than though innocent. If he would drop that act, personally I would only dislike him because he's so much better than everyone else at recruiting.
