And guess what the no-yet-President did? He had a 45 minute speech on that issue alone. Obama has written extensively about his faith, and even uses it now to justify certain policies he's made.
A candidate's faith is a relevant point of discussion.
I don't disagree. I also don't remember Dateline NBC or 60 minutes doing an hour long special on black liberation theology.
I think most people don't understand what mormons believe, but I think most people see them as upstanding and moral people.
I don't see how this is all that much different than JFK becoming the first Catholic elected...
